It seems that even never-Trumper John McCain can’t defend Hillary Clinton’s whining.
Sen. John McCain suggested in a new interview that Hillary Clinton should have waited before writing her book about her lost presidential campaign, and said he learned after his own loss that it’s best to simply stop talking.
“One of the almost irresistible impulses you have when you lose is to somehow justify why you lost and how you were mistreated: ‘I did the right thing! I did!’’ he told Esquire in an interview. “The hardest thing to do is to just shut up.”
McCain said Clinton seems to have given in to the temptation to quickly write her book out of boredom, and to keep nitpicking the 2016 vote that gave Donald Trump the White House.
“What’s the fucking point? Keep the fight up?” he asked. “History will judge that campaign, and it’s always a period of time before they do.”
“You’ve got to move on,” he added. “This is Hillary’s problem right now: She doesn’t have anything to do.”
I had to pinch myself after actually agreeing with John McCain. I couldn’t believe how accurate McCain was. He is 100% right when he alludes to the fact there is no point to what she is doing. All her constant whining is doing is further dividing the country. Every time she lies about the Russian-Hoax or sexism/racism she hurts our country.
One part I do disagree with McCain on is that she is doing this because she is bored. There is no doubt in my mind that Hillary Clinton is trying to rebuild her broken down political machine and run again in 2020.
Either way good on you John McCain and thank you for calling out Hillary Clinton.
