Donald Trumps decision to bomb al Shayrat (Syrian Assad controlled airbase) has angered both Russia and Iran.
According to The IndependentÂ
“Russia and Iran have warned the US they will “respond with force†if their own “red lines†are crossed in Syria.”
“What America waged in an aggression on Syria is a crossing of red lines. From now on we will respond with force to any aggressor or any breach of red lines from whoever it is and America knows our ability to respond well,†the group’s joint command centre said.
This response is one that Trump needs to take seriously. Iran and Russia are both strong countries that the United States would rather not be at war with. Russia and Iran both have nuclear capabilities and thanks to Obama the United States currently has no defense against their nuclear power.
This will also seriously impact their attempts to defeat ISIS. Both of these countries have heavily backed Assad’s regime in their fight against the extremist groups in the region. Fighting both sides will further destabilize the region and allow Rebel and ISIS forces to regain lost territory.
