A new report from Axios gave us some more insight into the relationship of Jeff Sessions and Donald Trump.
Axios:
Kelly said he has been telling Trump that Jeff Sessions is doing a good job. Kelly went above and beyond to defend Sessions, and told the president that the press only reports about 3% of what he does.Â
It seems as of right now that it might be General Kelly who is keeping Sessions as Attorney General. As we have seen Donald Trump has unleashed a slew of tweets showcasing his dismay with Sessions job as attorney general.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions has taken a VERY weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes (where are E-mails & DNC server) & Intel leakers!

Why is A.G. Jeff Sessions asking the Inspector General to investigate potentially massive FISA abuse. Will take forever, has no prosecutorial power and already late with reports on Comey etc. Isn’t the I.G. an Obama guy? Why not use Justice Department lawyers? DISGRACEFUL!

It is clear that his frustration with Sessions is entirely regarding his recusal from the Russia investigation and his lack of movement on the investigating of Hillary Clinton and her many crimes.
