Months ago I wrote an article touching on Micheal Flynn. I talked about his plan for ISIS and how I loved it. Since that article Flynn has done nothing but looked like an issue for Donald Trump.
First, it was lying to Pence, then his ties to Turkey both put him on the brink of legal trouble.
The Wall Street Journal reported:
“Mike Flynn, President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser, has told the Federal Bureau of Investigation and congressional officials investigating the Trump campaign’s potential ties to Russia that he is willing to be interviewed in exchange for a grant of immunity from prosecution, according to officials with knowledge of the matter.”
For starters it is important we keep in mind that the reports are for Flynn to be “interviewed”. This by no means should prove he has any evidence that would be detrimental to the Trump administration.
Flynn’s call for immunity can only mean two things
1.Flynn has evidence that would further the investigation on Trump-Russia
This seems rather unlikely. Considering Flynn was one of the main focuses of the investigation they have really uncovered everything he has to offer. Now he could point them in the direction of where there are ties in Trumps administration but up to this point, no evidence supports this.
In addition the fact that Trump promoted his call for immunity should put the idea that Flynn has any evidence detrimental to Trump to bed.

2. Flynn is trying to take himself out of the Witch Hunt by getting immunity
With the intense investigation involving Russia, it is clear that people are trying to make a case against Flynn. He would be foolish to not seek immunity. This is pointed out beautifully by former U.S Attorney Andrew C. McCarthy on twitter

It is really too early to tell whether or not this is big news at all. If Flynn has evidence that will hurt Trump than obviously, this becomes huge news. If he is doing this to escape the witch hunt then it doesn’t affect anyone besides Flynn. We are still waiting to see if the FBI will accept his request or not and will we will continue to cover this story as it progresses.
