Europes dark days are far from over

The Associated Press broke a story saying European Parliament is taking the first step in censoring their media platforms.

Rule 165, parts five and six of the Procedure of the European Parliament

The President may decide to interrupt the live broadcasting of the sitting in the case of defamatory, racist or xenophobic language or behavior by a Member. The President may decide to delete from the audiovisual record of the proceedings those parts of a speech by a Member that contain defamatory, racist, or xenophobic language.

That decision shall take immediate effect. It shall, however, be subject to confirmation by the Bureau not later than four weeks after it is taken, or, if the Bureau does not meet in that period, at its next meeting.

You really can’t make this stuff up anymore. This rule is a perfect example of why Europe is facing such a steep crisis. Terrorism, violence, and corruption is destroying their cities and culture. Now they have taken another step to destroy Europe through political correctness and censoring. Let’s break down this rule line by line.

The President may decide to interrupt the live broadcasting of the sitting in the case of defamatory, racist or xenophobic language or behavior by a Member:

Now in a world filled with rainbows and ponies, this sounds nice. It would be great if we could eradicate racism. It would be great if we could truly eradicate hate speech. The issue is that it is impossible to do so. Anybody that holds an opinion is likely going to offend someone. That doesn’t make the person holding that opinion a monster, it makes him human. This is just another attempt to censor views that differ from what the government believes. They now have the right to censor people, without warning, live on air and don’t initially have to answer to anyone.

The President may decide to delete from the audiovisual record of the proceedings those parts of a speech by a Member that contain defamatory, racist, or xenophobic language:

This furthers the issue that we see in this rule. Not only can they kick people off air but they can also delete the recording as if this never happened.

That decision shall take immediate effect. It shall, however, be subject to confirmation by the Bureau not later than four weeks after it is taken, or, if the Bureau does not meet in that period, at its next meeting:

They are saying “We’ll look at if the speech was ok to be censored at a time convenient for us” This shows they really can care less if speech is being restricted or not.

A Europe in turmoil is about to get a whole lot worse. They are going to continue their agenda to restrict the speech of their citizens and attempt to make sure what is said on the air lines up with the ideals of Parliament.  Europeans need to stand up for themselves or they are going to continue their downward spiral.
