Disney Fires TV Content Chief – Had Previously Smeared DeSantis

Disney is making more major changes.

Disney announced they are firing Peter Rice, their chief of TV content.

From The Hollywood Reporter:

In a major executive shake-up, Peter Rice, chairman of Disney’s entertainment and programming, is exiting the company, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

Sources say embattled Disney CEO Bob Chapek summoned Rice to his office Monday and relieved the former Fox exec of his duties. Rice’s top lieutenant, Dana Walden — who also made the move from Fox to Disney — will be taking over his responsibilities. Sources say Rice had multiple years left on his contract and will receive a rich payout.

He had previously smeared Flordia Governor Ron DeSantis:

From The Post Millenial:

A Disney chairman who voiced his opposition for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ anti-grooming bill has been ousted from the company.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rice said that he saw the Parental Rights In Education Bill as “a violation of fundamental human rights.”
