Comey confirms FBI paid for Anti-Trump dossier author’s travel expenses

Paul Sperry took to Twitter to report that Comey confirmed under oath that the FBI paid for travel and other expenses for Christoper Steele the author of the anti-Trump dossier which was used to spy on the Trump campaign.

Here was his report from 2017

He then said that Comey confirmed it

Comey did confirm it according to a transcript released by House GOP Republicans

My recollection is that the FBI was not paying him, that the FBI had reimbursed him for some travel expenses and had raised the prospect that if there was fruitful further work, he could be paid for it.
