BAD TRUMP: Trump “Bannon not involved in campaign until late”

In an interview with The New York Posts Micheal Goodwin, Trump failed to show real support for Bannon.

When he asked Trump if he still has confidence in Bannon Trump responded with this.

“I like Steve, but you have to remember he was not involved in my camp until very late,” Trump said. “I had already beaten all the senators and all the governors, and I didn’t know Steve. I’m my own strategist and it wasn’t like I was going to change strategies because I was facing crooked Hillary.”

He ended by saying, “Steve is a good guy, but I told them to straighten it out or I will.”

This is not a response that looks good for Bannon. Bannon and Trumps Son-in-law Jared Kushner have been at war with each other over the direction of Trumps administration(I covered that here).  There is also rumors that Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump is pushing hard for Bannon to be removed.

Bannon’s removal will be a tough one for Trump supporters to swallow. He represents nationalism and the keeping of Trump’s campaign promises. That is irreplaceable within Trump’s administration.
