Trump set the world on fire after he told radio host Wayne Allyn Root that the idea of him running for Speaker Of The House was “interesting”.

Trump For Speaker? Trump Calls Idea Of Him Running For Speaker Of The House “Interesting”

Now, we have this.

Bot Matt Schlapp and Jason Chaffetz pointed out that anyone could become Speaker Of The House.

You don’t need to be an elected memeber of the House of Representatives.

So, this would mean that Trump wouldn’t even need to run for a House seat to become speaker.

I googled this claim and this is what I found:

The Constitution does not require the speaker to be an incumbent member of the House of Representatives, although every speaker thus far has been. The speaker is second in the United States presidential line of succession, after the vice president and ahead of the president pro tempore of the Senate.
