5 reasons Trump’s Wall must be built

Trump’s Wall has been a high point of contention ever since he proclaimed the building of it. Many of the progressive left have attempted to act like this is discriminatory. Many try to act like it is unneeded.  Here are five reasons why Trump’s Wall must be built.

    1. Illegals are 3 times more likely to commit crimes

An article from the daily wire had this to say:

Fox News sorted through myriad “local, state and federal statistics” and found that “illegal immigrants are three times as likely to be convicted of murder as members of the general population and account for far more crimes than their 3.5-percent share of the U.S. population would suggest.”

The percentage of illegals committing the number of crimes are as follows, according to Fox News:

13.6 percent of those sentenced for all committed crimes in the country
    12 percent of murder sentences
    16 percent of trafficking sentences

The notion that these immigrants coming from our southern border aren’t dangerous is absolute ignorance. Sure, not all of them are bad but the fact that there are a lot of bad people proves the need for more border protection. Also, keep in mind that 90% of heroin in the U.S comes from Mexico and is killing thousands of people each year.

    2. Nearly 50% of federal crimes happen at Mexico/US border:

The Department of Justice in 2014 reported this:

Of the 61,529 criminal cases initiated by federal prosecutors last fiscal year, more than 40%—or 24,746—were filed in court districts neighboring the Mexican border. This includes Arizona, New Mexico, Southern California, Western Texas and Southern Texas. The two Texas districts each had more than double the convictions of all four federal court districts in the state of New York combined, according to the DOJ report. The Western Texas District had the nation’s heaviest crime flow, with 6,341 cases filed by the feds. In Southern Texas 6,130 cases were filed, 4,848 in Southern California, 3,889 in New Mexico and 3,538 in Arizona.

Not surprisingly, most of the offenses were immigration related. In fact, 38.6% of all federal cases (23,744) filed last year involved immigration, the DOJ report confirms. Nearly 22% (13,383) were drug related, 19.7% (12,123) were violent crimes and 10.2% (6,300) involved white-collar offenses that include a full range of frauds committed by business and government professionals. This is hardly earth-shattering news in fact, the nation’s southern border region has for years been known for its high crime rate compared to the rest of the country.

With the building of the Wall, more border security will follow. Now I understand the budget doesn’t perfectly layout how Trump plans to pay for these extra agents but I trust he will make it work. These areas have been lawless for years now and the MSM refuses to cover it.

3.People near the border want the Wall:

Tons of people near the border call for the Wall to be built. CNBC interviewed a guy who lives near the Wall named Bob Maupin, he had this to say

“To me it’s a national security problem the government doesn’t care about,” he said.”As an American, I’m protecting the country as best I can on my property,” he said. “And the way I feel, if you don’t think that’s right, why don’t you go live in Cuba.”

He also said he has had to pay an estimated $20,000 in damages to his property due to illegal immigration.

Countless sheriffs have come out in support of the Wall and a Sheriff from Mass. even offered some of his inmates as volunteers to help build the Wall.

Now the people I have seen that don’t want the Wall are ones who own businesses. They say that they get a lot of business from people who come over hoping to avoid tariff costs. These same people all agree illegal immigration is an issue.

    4. If we are warned not to go there, why should they be allowed to sneak into our country

For years our government has warned the American people about traveling to Mexico. Whether it was due to disease or due to high crime rates they have said it isn’t the safest place to travel.

Here is a video explaining some of what I am talking about:

    [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vsbjv_sELSM]

Doesn’t make much sense that we are warned not to travel to Mexico and at the same time told illegal immigration isn’t an issue.

    5. Illegal immigrants cost Americans a lot of money

A FAIR report gave us these statistics on Illegal immigration:

Illegal immigration costs U.S. taxpayers about $113 billion a year at the federal, state and local level. The bulk of the costs — some $84 billion — are absorbed by state and local governments.

The annual outlay that illegal aliens cost U.S. taxpayers is an average amount per native-headed household of $1,117. The fiscal impact per household varies considerably because the greatest share of the burden falls on state and local taxpayers whose burden depends on the size of the illegal alien population in that locality

Education for the children of illegal aliens constitutes the single largest cost to taxpayers, at an annual price tag of nearly $52 billion. Nearly all of those costs are absorbed by state and local governments.

At the federal level, about one-third of outlays are matched by tax collections from illegal aliens. At the state and local level, an average of less than 5 percent of the public costs associated with illegal immigration is recouped through taxes collected from illegal aliens.
Most illegal aliens do not pay income taxes. Among those who do, much of the revenues collected are refunded to the illegal aliens when they file tax returns. Many are also claiming tax credits resulting in payments from the U.S. Treasury.

As you can see the cost of these Illegal Aliens is enormous. Considering the fact we struggle to take care of our own citizens this is something that needs to end.

The building of Trump’s Wall is going to help in the fight against illegal immigration. Not only will it significantly help keep the Drug Cartels from pushing drugs into our country but it will encourage the good Mexicans to come in legally. We accept all people as long as they want to make a better America and come in the legal way the Wall will help ensure that.
